Stay Wicked co-founders Jordan and Quillan Salkilld at the Love Street Coffee window in Cloverdale, Western Australia
Love Street, Cloverdale

Where it started

It started with a little window on Love Street.

We have a tattoo shop here, with a gym next door, and somewhere along the way we decided to cut a hole in the wall and make coffee.

Nothing serious.

It was mostly for us, the artists, and whoever happened to be spending half their day getting tattooed. Somewhere to lean against the window, drink something good and waste a little time.

Then the gym found us.

One person came over after training. Then another. People started staying longer than a coffee takes. Strangers became familiar faces, familiar faces became friends.

Quillan was one of them.

Coffee after training turned into most mornings, most mornings turned into a good friendship, and one thing led to another.

For years the routine had been the same. Coffee on the way in, coconut water on the way out.

Energy. Hydration. Two cans.

Until eventually someone said the obvious thing out loud.

Why is this two drinks?

So we made it one.

Funny how things happen.

Who is behind it

Two owners,
one street

No investors, no board, no brand agency. Two people who live on the same street and drink the same cans.

UFC lightweight Trains at LCA, two doors up

The one from the letter. Quillan fights lightweight in the UFC and trains two doors up at Luistro Combat Academy.

He is not a name we rented for the can. He owns part of this, and he was drinking the two halves of it years before there was one.

Wrote the letter above. Owns the tattoo shop at number 7, which came first, and still tattoos in it. The coffee window at number 9 came next.

Still behind it most mornings. Still the one explaining why the can says shake me.
